The St. Kitts-Nevis National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to inform the general public that International Day for the Eradication of Poverty in which the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is the lead agency will be commemorated on October 17th. The theme for this year is “Answering the Call of October 17 to end poverty: A Path toward Peaceful and Inclusive Societies”.
We invite all community groups and other partners in the Federation to help raise awareness of the day and to encourage fellow citizens to strive to alleviate poverty in our nation.
